About Me
Hello! I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist offering counselling in Alberta, Canada. I am the daughter of Bengali immigrant parents and recognize the challenges of adapting to the western world. As a second-generation Canadian, I see the strain that is put on newcomers/immigrants/second gens; the struggles are unique to each generation, but the difficult feelings often unite us.

Given that our struggles are so unique, having to explain the ins and outs of our culture to a non-South Asian can get exhausting. Sometimes you just need your therapist to “get it”! I believe I can be that person for you.

I am experienced in working with various issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief/loss, and identity issues. I also have the added lens of understanding how race and ethnicity can play into all of these issues, as I work from an intersectional framework. I ensure the modalities I use in session work to empower you by pulling from therapies such as mindfulness, somatic, narrative, EMDR, and feminist.

I also recognize that taking the first step to access therapy, particularly as a South Asian, is already a huge feat. I hope you can recognize the bravery in that too. If you choose to work with me, I aim to build a collaborative relationship so we can work toward your goals together. I hope to hear from you soon!
